[Book Blitz] What Took You So Long?

My long and awaited second released of the revised and re-edited version of What Took You Long is now available in both ebooks and paperback!

Milky thought she was ready for anything, but is she ready for love?

Ready to take on the world, Milky Valdez moves to Madrid to carve out a life and a career for herself, away from the stifling help of her well-meaning, affluent parents. Still young and inexperienced with men, she is shocked when she meets Luke, her handsome, womanizing neighbor, who leads a hedonistic lifestyle as a music producer.

Despite their differences, the two strike up an unlikely friendship.

Milky’s new world changes when she overhears a conversation that leads her to make a rash decision. Giving up her virginity to a friend seems like the easy option, but when she finds out what Luke has given up for her in return, she realizes just how big a risk she’s taking.

Suki: A like story

Hinata Asahi is a high school student who lives alone with only her teddy bears to keep her company. Her life becomes much more exciting when the handsome Shirou Asou moves in next door. Not only is he really cute, but he's also her new teacher! Hina has a bit of a crush on him, but when the older man seems to take an interest in her as well, is it forbidden love or something else?

I ran into this manga after looking for May-December romance. When I finished reading the first volume I felt a bit creep out about something I can't describe and no I'm not talking about the age gap between the characters, I love that part most. I like the melancholy feeling of the story and how Hina deal with her feelings for Asou-sensei head on, but I have to admit Hina's naivete annoyed me a bit. How could a 15 year just ask a stranger to teach her sex without thinking of the consequences? What if Tomo-kun was actually a bad guy? What then? She's too trusting and forgiving. However, I love her cheerful and playful side.

The story ends in a kind of open-happy ending but as I wrote in Goodreads. Too short! There's should be more volumes to this manga. It doesn't have to be a wedding but couldn't Clamp at least end it with a kiss? I want to see more scenes!

Another sweet short story. I started reading this Jan 24 and set it aside, not because it was boring or anything, I simply prioritized my other books and forgot about this one. Last week had been a sad week for me and this short story wave to me from my Kindle. And so I started reading it again from the beginning late Wednesday night and woke up a bit happier to get back to reading the rest of the book. I have some question left when the story ended like who cursed him and a few more, but overall I had a great time reading it and had a satisfying ending. So I'll probably read the series too.
